<p>This well known placement agency is currently seeking a Structural Design Engineer for one of their clients. The major portion of a Structural Engineer&#8217;s time is spent overseeing the design and analysis of structures, buildings and foundations. The Structural Engineer&#8217;s responsibility encompasses all the civil and structural engineering aspects of any project. The engineer is involved in the total project early in its development; from preliminary site feasibility studies and basic design criteria through the actual design of foundations, structures and buildings and coordination with field crew during construction to the point of assuring that the material is delivered to and successfully installed at the job site. Acting as a senior structural engineer, the responsibilities may include supervision and guidance of a group of engineers and designers and the assumption of complete structural responsibility for a part of a project or specific structure(s). Additionally, the senior structural engineer will be expected to prepare construction specifications, design criteria, develop structural concepts and maintain efficient interdisciplinary and client communication.</p>

Under general guidance with limited supervision, the successful candidates will perform electro-mechanical assembly and other related assembly tasks as assigned.  Follow moderately detailed assembly procedures and instructions while performing assigned tasks in compliance with quality workmanship and company standards.  Use tools or operate power driven equipment to drill, rivet, insert parts or components, cut and shape components, crimp, connect wires, wire wrap, perform wiring and prepare wires. Wires may include shielded wires, and solder sleeve assemblies, and tasks may include strip, tin, twist and wire identification by tagging.  Operate Go / No go test equipment.  Work with colour coded materials.  Perform washing, degreasing, masking, spraying preparation, unmasking and touch-up operations for conformal coating or other applications.  Install or assemble plates, gaskets, grommets, heatsinks, components, sub-assemblies, etc. using fasteners and/or adhesives.  Perform basic soldering operations, part marking, lacing, and make cable assemblies or wire harnesses.  Operate vacuum chambers, ovens, scales, caulking guns, etc.  Mix adhesives, chemical solutions, potting and coating compounds in required precise proportions; clean and maintain containers, applicators and spray equipment in good working order.  Operate wave solder and lead-trimming equipment.  Report problems and rejections of first-off product to higher level operators or supervisors for correction.  Observe all safety procedures and precautions.  Perform other related duties as required.</p>
