    This well known placement agency is currently seeking a Junior QA Engineer for one of their clients. Job duties: Job Duties: Execute testing on products using a combination of manual and auto testing techniques to simulate customer environment and product usage; Create, maintain and execute test specifications and test cases as well as scripting; Identify, document and track software defects found during testing; Troubleshooting on the full range of products; Recommend corrective actions based on analysis; Reproduction of customer reported issues on lab equipment; Setup, troubleshoot and maintain Lab infrastructure for Support staff.

    Requirements:

    • Advanced oral and written communication skills in English

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience is desirable; At least 2+ years experience in a technical support role in a networking/security company or equivalent education; Experience with QA testing and knowledge of QA processes; Experience and knowledge of bug reporting and tracking system; Experience with scripting; Solid knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies, as well as software development fundamentals; Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, L2/L3 switches; Experience with security products firewalls, IPSec, IDS/IPS, Anti Spam, virus scanning; Extensive working knowledge of Windows, UNIX or Linux
