A major hardware retail outlet located in Vancouver is looking for Cashiers to join their team. Duties to include: provide outstanding customer service; ensure registers are well stocked with up-to-date supplies and maintain a clean, organized, and safe register area; verify the register till at opening, sign void sheet and till log as well as follow all closing procedures; follow all procedures for cash, cheques, charge, and split payment sales; scan merchandise and operate cash register; utilize item checks to make the Manager aware of any pricing problems; communicate with the supervisor concerning any problems or difficult transactions; ensure registers are not left unattended without logging off the register, turning off the register light, and securing the register lane.
Requirements:
• Strong communication skills in English
Qualifications:
• Strong sense of customer service
• Able to handle any objections professionally
• Good decision-making abilities and problem solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as proven team membership skills
• Previous cashier experience would be an asset
