    Salary: $10.57 per hour

    Location: Richmond

    Information:

    A Richmond based manufacturer of survival clothig (professional, and recreational), requires a Module Line Operator (Sewing Machine Operator). Duties include:  

    • Operate an industrial sewing machine or other machinery (manual or programmable)
    • Assemble garments according to the appropriate methods and techniques for each product.
    • Ensure proper operation of sewing machine by cleaning, refilling oil, changing needles, detecting bobbin-winding problems, and testing the machine.
    • Perform hand sewing or machine sewing on repairs as required.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
    • Work from 7:25 am to 3:55 pm, Monday to Friday

    Requirements:

    • Basic & up English skills
    • Good basic sewing skills with the ability to handle various fabrics and sewing operations
    • Industrial sewing experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
    • Good hand eye coordination with attention to detail.
    • Ability to meet production, quality and efficiency standards.

    Ability to follow verbal and/or written work instructions and techniques.
