About
Mentoring Connections is an ISSofBC community initiative that brings together Vancouver-based professionals (mentors) and talented immigrants (mentees) from the same professional area.
The goal of our program is to ease the transition of skilled immigrants into the Canadian workplace with the help of an experienced mentor. Volunteer mentors are not required to find employment for their mentees, rather offer career-focused advice and encouragement.
As for time commitment, we have kept the program flexible, in order to meet the needs of our participants. We ask that a mentor and mentee meet for at least 4 hours per month, for 3 to 6 months.
