Positive attitude can take over…
When you realize how perfect everything is, you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky. Buddha
The other day I was sitting in on a training session with Romanda, and while talking about mentoring relationships a few points were brought up concerning various interactions, life in general and the values each of us holds.
Values such as commitment, honesty, trust, respect, integrity (and many more) all concern individuals to this or that extent. For me, positive attitude is of high significance. This is probably genetic –it’s my personality – but also, it’s because of my experience learning how to exercise positive affirmations in life.
Immigration is a hard and continuous process; we leave our homes, our friends, our habits and head towards the unknown islands of emotions and sensations. We take a route and see the horizon far away; thus, we need to habitually use positive avowal with only positive thinking, which leads us to the peaks of reality, and we do not wish to reach those in vain.
Yet there are falls; falls before reaching even half of our elevation when the future is not entirely unlocked. At these times, there should not be a place for guilt or anxiety—on the contrary, feelings of revival and blossoming should come forward, together with passion and eagerness not to stop, but to progress forward with a positive attitude, positive thinking and optimism.
What I have learnt is not to fear. I know I need the time to accomplish my goals, and bad feelings or emotions will not stand in the way. Time is the most promising phenomenon and it goes by fast, so I am not going to lose it.
I cannot change the past and I am not thinking about it in a pessimistic way, as I have many, many memories that are now in a tiny treasure box in my mind; and I am happy to appreciate all the meanings and the connections of chances that carry us to the meadows of infinite possibilities.
Be positive, but don’t forget to be realistic!
