Canada and Refugee Resettlement: Research and Innovation for the 21st Century
ISSofBC in partnership with Kwantlen Polytechnic University and the Centre for Refugee Studies at York University are please to present “Canada and Refugee Resettlement: Research and Innovation for the 21st Century” National Conference taking place June 20 - 22, 2012 in Richmond, BC.
Three hundred delegates are expected including academics, federal and provincial policy makers, service providers, public institution representatives, funders and youth. This conference will create a national space to share and learn current successful practices, policy discussions and research that will help shape ongoing regional and national dialogues in enhancing support for refugees settling in Canada. The conference will take place at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Richmond, British Columbia.
Current conference keynote speakers include Mr. Paris Aristotle (Chair, Council for Immigration Services and Status Resolution in Australia), James C. Hathaway (Law Professor, University of Michigan) and Judith Kumin (Recently Retired UNHCR Director for Europe).
