Sandy Burke is at risk of being orphaned and losing everything, again.
She's caught in the tangled web of Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
She came to Canada at age six, the American-born daughter of a Canadian father. But she has no papers to prove it.
The fact that those papers must be somewhere in the government's archives matters not a whit.
Without that proof, everything she has is at risk -her home, her Canada pension, her old-age security, her health care and her social insurance number. She could even be deported to a country she hasn't lived in for 60 years.
